MARY FAY COADY

If Alexander and I have one thing in common, it’s our passion for acting.

In 2010, I moved to Bristol, England to train as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. It was there I discovered the Alexander Technique.

Of all the classes offered at the Old Vic, it was my Alexander class that was of most value. I made the most exciting developments as an actor in those classes, and was continually provided with tools that have helped me become the actor I've always wanted to be.

I was altogether fascinated by the work of FM Alexander. I was encouraged by all the positive changes I was witnessing in my friends as well as myself. I was hungry for more, so I decided to enroll in the ITM Teacher Training Course, beginning in September, 2012.

In July, 2016, I qualified as a teacher and since then have been teaching in Dublin, Cork, Bristol and Cirencester. I’ve recently moved back to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where I am splitting my time between teaching and acting. In my spare time, I enjoy writing poems and practising yoga.
